CTO

The role:

MetaHire Group is exclusively partnering with a high-growth affiliate client to find their new CTO.

They are looking for a CTO to own the technical side of a profitable, revenue-generating business end-to-end. You’ll inherit a working stack and a clear roadmap, with the autonomy to shape the technical direction as the company scales.

This is a builder-heavy role. You will be expected to architect systems, write code, and eventually hire and lead a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Move multi-tenant Next.js infrastructure, containerised deployments, and the supporting data layer, PostgreSQL, Redis, reverse proxying, VPS footprint strategy

• Integrate AI tools (LLMs, vector DBs) into development and operational workflows to drive efficiency.

• Define the tech stack, set the hiring bar, and ensure the portfolio remains fast and secure.

• Move between high-level strategy and deep-dive coding/infrastructure management.

Technical Stack

• Languages: TypeScript, Node.js

• Frontend: Next.js

• Data/Infra: PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Traefik

• AI: Claude, Cursor, Vector DBs

Who You Are

• You lead developer or principal engineer ready to step up, or a technical founder / early-stage CTO who wants to do it again somewhere with revenue and momentum already in place

• You know how to build for scale without over-engineering.

• You use AI coding tools daily - Claude, Cursor, Copilot, whatever your flavour - and have strong opinions on getting the most out of them. If you think AI-assisted development is a fad, this isn't the role for you

• Full-Stack Mindset: You care as much about production and infrastructure as you do about the code in the repo.

• You must come from an iGaming background (either Affiliate or Operator side). This is non-negotiable.
